'Peek Retina' Ready Check Eyes From HP - pity indeed if development increasingly sophisticated technology is used only for the entertainment alone. Some of these include the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, University of Strathclyde, Glasgow and NHS Centre for Ophthalmic Research are collaborating in creating Peek retina to examine the eye.Peek The retina consists of smartphone applications and inexpensive adapter that enables users to make professional inspection anywhere in the world. In the manufacturing process, Peek Retina involve teams, consisting of eye specialists, software developers, to product designers.The adapter itself can be clipped on top of the smartphone's camera in order to facilitate the doctor see the inside of the eye and take high resolution images for diagnostic purposes. Other conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can also be detected through."Approximately 39 million people in the world are blind, yet 80% of blindness is avoidable, but unfortunately most do not have access to eye examinations," said Dr. Andrew Bastawrous as the creator of the Retina Peek.Application Peek retina which is currently still in the campaign period (until January 9, 2015) is expected to successfully raise funds up to £ 70,000. Until this news was revealed, only 33% of funds collected from 246 donors. Through the campaign, donors can buy for personal use or donate it to a health facility, only to pay £ 60 ($ 95, IDR950ribuan).According to estimates the new Retina Peek delivered to consumers in October 2015. Until now, Peek Retina can only be used on Samsung S3, and because it has not mengantong FDA clearance, then the application can not be sold in the United States
